I am Delegate Jennifer White Holland and I represent District 10 in Baltimore County. By day, I use my public health training at a local community health foundation to lead and support local grassroots advocacy campaigns. In Annapolis, I fight for evidence-based public health policies that protect and promote our health and wellbeing.
In the Maryland General Assembly, I work collaboratively with local, state, and federal colleagues to deliver results for District 10 residents. I have sponsored and voted for legislation that improves access to community services through capital bond initiatives, improve our schools and education workforce, increase access to affordable housing, protect our environment, strengthen Maryland's economic development, and increase access to high quality health care.
I am proud to serve as your Delegate and voice in Annapolis. Let's continue working together to close gaps, eliminate barriers, and ensure our communities are thriving.
This bill extends the reporting and sunset of the Maryland Lynching Truth and Reconciliation Commission (MLTRC) by two years.
HB 649 is about transparency, requiring employers to include wage ranges, general description of benefits, and other compensation in job positions.
This bill updates and streamlines processes for care coordination, creates a report card for all birthing facilities, and increases the state’s study and action on Severe Maternal Morbidity.
The Lowering Prescription Drug Costs for All Marylanders Now Act,a reintroduction of previous legislation, expands the authority of Maryland’s first-in-the-nation Prescription Drug Affordability Board to set upper-payment limits for prescription drugs.
The Public Health Equity Dashboard bill requires the Maryland Department of Health and the Commission on Health Equity to develop a clear, accessible dashboard displaying health disparity data by race, ethnicity, and gender.
Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is a serious issue that continues to affect lives nationwide and across the state of Maryland. This bill alters the purposes of the 9-1-1 Trust Fund to include funding the costs of telecommunications cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
Our democracy is hanging on by a thread. Despite these poor actions at the federal level, Maryland is responding and will continue to protect what is working and serving Marylanders.
Our health is largely driven by factors like income, education, where we live, access to food, transportation and access to affordable and high-quality health care.
Our children deserve a high-quality education that creates a safe, healthy and supportive environment where they can thrive.
We are at a pivotal point to protect our environment. The science is clear: the climate is changing. While Maryland has taken steps to reduce these emissions by 25 percent from a 2006 baseline by 2020, the latest science says that we need to do more.
Older adults 65+ are pillars of our community and continue to make significant contributions. Baltimore County’s 65+ population is growing, which requires our communities to be age-friendly and designed for people to age in place.
We deserve to feel safe whether in our homes or out and about in our communities.
